Bubble solution

2/3 cup Dawn or Joy dishwashing liquid
1 gallon water (distilled works best)
1 Tbsp. glycerin (optional)

*Age the solution for at least 5 days


[Super] Bubbles

1 cup water
2 Tbsp. light karo syrup
4 Tbsp. liquid dish soap

*Mix all ingredients together.


Clean Crayons

2 parts Ivory Snow powder
1 part water

*Mix until thick and creamy.
*Add a desired food coloring drop.
*Let harden in small molds, or ice cube trays.


Clean Mud

warm water (warm enough to melt soap)
1 bar dove soap
1 roll white toilet paper

*Have the children tear up the toilet paper into little bits (the smaller the better).
*Using a cheese grater, grate the bar of soap into a big bowl.
*Add the torn up toilet paper to the bowl.
*Add the warm water a little bit at a time while mixing the toilet paper and the soap together.
*You have added enough water when the mixture begins to feel like a thick cool whip.

#Do not make the mixture soupy. The more you play with it the fluffier it becomes.


Colored Sand

1 cup sand
2 Tbsp. vinegar
4 - 5 drops of food coloring
water

*In a plastic container, mix sand and food coloring.
*Add vinegar and enough water to make the sand mushy, but not watery.
*Stir and spread the wet sand onto a cookie sheet and let dry.






Glitter Gel

1 cup glitter
1/3 cup hair gel

*Mix glitter and hair gel.
*Apply glitter gel with a paintbrush.
*Dries clear and glitter will stick.


Professional Sand Castle Stuff

10 parts sand
1 part white glue
3 parts water

*Mix sand, water and glue together in a large bucket.
*If the mixture is too think, add more water.

#No more washed away sand castles! This mixture of sand and glue to will help hold together your work of art. Expect your sand sculpture to last weeks — even if it rains!


Sidewalk Chalk

2 cups of water
2 cups of Plaster of Paris
2 Tbsp. powdered tempera

*Stir all ingredients and let set for a few minutes.
*Pour into paper towel tubes that have been taped over at one end.
*Let dry for at least 2 hours.


Silly Putty

1 part liquid starch
1 part elmers glue

*Pour glue into starch.
*Work with hands until it becomes smooth and stretchy and all liquid is absorbed.
*Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.


Soap Crayons

1/8 cup water
1 cup soap flakes (Ivory Snow)
Food coloring or powdered tempera paint

*Make a soap paste with water and soap flakes for a pliable clay-like consistency.
*Add 30-40 drops of food coloring or some powder paint and mix well.
*Form into sticks and let dry in a warm.
*Store in a dry place until dry to the touch.
*Use in a bathtub or water table.
